AUDITION FORMAT:
The actual tryout will follow the following format:
- Print the tryout packet (link is at the top of page) and bring to your tryout.
- April 7th- GET YOUR AUDITION PACKET AND TEACHER EVALUATIONS COMPLETED BEFORE APRIL 7th.
- APRIL 7th and 8th- Audition DAYS!!- April 7th From 3-5, be prepared for a 2 hour master combo class that will focus on ballet, jazz and contemporary techniques. April 8th from 3-5 we will WORK ON A GROUP CHOREOGRAPHY PROJECT. This will show us how you work in groups with other people but also show us your creative side. You will also dance a combo you learn in advance via video that will be available to watch starting March 31st. And finally you will dance your self choreographed solo to the track listed above. Please use the entire song and make sure it is set. You might have to do it twice so don't improvise it.
- RESULTS WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE THE APRIL 8th AFTER THE TRYOUTS.
- Previous membership does not guarantee continued membership
- Number of years experience does not matter. I have kids who have never danced before make it and others who have had years of experience not make it. I am looking for dedicated and hard working members.
- This is an auditioned group- Like a sport, this requires before and after school practices- 6am-7:30am mornings, and some after school activities and tech rehearsals near concert times. As well as after school performances.
- This is a team activity so full commitment is crucial to a successful year. Remember Our season is all year. Attendance and punctuality are key.
- This also has a required fee to participate, plus any possible additional travel and hotel fees or extended opportunities that arise. A complete fee list is provided in the audition packet.
